About 70 percent of adults drink alcohol in the United States, some are occasionally. Alcohol consumption is widespread in our society. For most people, moderate intake is more safer than excessive intake. You may even have some health related benefits, in which decreasing  the risk of  few heart related problems ( hypothesis ). Moderate alcohol consumption is considered 1 drink per day for women (or  over 65) and 2 drinks per day for men younger than 65 years. Some people should not drink at all, such as alcoholics, kids , during pregnancy , people taking certain medications and people with certain medical problems. Binge alcohol drinking - five or more drinks of alcohol in one time can destroy  health and increase the risk of accidents, injuries and aggression. Decades of excessive drinking can lead to liver disease, heart disease,some type of cancers and pancreatitis. It can also create problems at your home, at your work place and with friends. The consumption of alcohol has immediate effects that can increase the risk of many adverse health issues. Excessive  consumption of alcohol, whether in the form of excessive drinking ( More than two drinks per day of alcohol on average for male or more than one drink per day on average for female ), or binge alcohol consumption ( More than four drinks at one time for male or more than three drinks at a time for female ) may lead to an increased risk of health conditions including liver diseases or some other type of injury .



National surveys indicate that more than half of the adults in the United States  drank alcohol in the last 30 days. About 5 percent of the total population drank heavily, and 15 percent of the population binge alcohol drank. National studies previously explained binge alcohol drinking as more than four drinks for males and females. In 2001, around 75,000 deaths due to excessive intake of alcohol. In fact, the excessive consumption of alcohol is the third leading cause of death related to bad lifestyle of people in the each year in U.S.



Not to be confused in the combination of alcohol addiction and drug addiction, alcoholism is another term for alcohol addiction. Alcohol dependence is progressively body's inability to tolerate alcohol. Alcohol addiction is often a progressive process, in which the body loses its ability to cope with a small amount of alcohol. The alcohol dependence occurs when a person feels they need to take alcohol in a very regularly . A person with alcohol dependence is usually drunk a lot. The definition of alcohol addiction is a desire or craving to a substance or chemical .People is addicted to alcohol and they make excessive intake of alcohol in your life and have a negative effects of one or more areas of the body and quality of lifestyle  
.
Alcohol dependence is a pattern of intake that led to health, interpersonal relationships or ability to work or job.
